By now you will have received correspondence from us regarding the gradual re-opening of the setting and we have spoken to all of the families of children who will be attending on Monday. Thank you so much for uploading photo’s of your children on to Tapestry, letting Staff know how everyone is coping and what your families have been up to in lockdown, it is great to hear from you! It’s also lovely for the Pre-school children to see their little friends, if only in photo form!
We have been doing lots of fun activities around ‘numbers’ incorporating them into games and songs and, for some children, counting out loud, working on number recognition, as well as one more, one less, adding together and taking away. The school leavers were enthusiastic to learn a bit more about numbers after our daily phonics

Last day of term found us at the Ascott playground. We had a lovely play on the swings and slides and retired to the pavilion area for a picnic lunch outside (thank you Sally P for organising). We sang songs and played games before saying goodbye to all of the children who are moving on
We’ve had a Garden Centre and Cafe in the back garden all week – lots of lovely sunshine, the children have chosen to mostly play outside with breaks inside to get some extra shade. Lots of digging in soil and potting up of plants as well as measuring straight lines with string, sticking up signs
