World Book Day

It was books, books and more books this week! Thank you so much to all of the children who brought in their favourites for us to share. We celebrated World Book Day and focused on ‘The Tiger who came to Tea’ – a huge soft toy tiger had taken up residence in the kitchen role play area and welcomed the children into the setting on Thursday. Staff and children all wore striped clothing to keep him company. Marianne from Wychwood Library visited us, she was dressed up as a very colourful Zog the dragon and read the Zog story to the children. After the story we all did an art activity together and made our very own dragons from a tube complete with colourful ribbons, if you blow through the tube the ribbons look like flames. Thank you Marianne, a lovely activity which we all enjoyed.
