What wonderful Summer holidays, we were so lucky with the weather. We hope that you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did!
The children have settled back in beautifully and we have had a lovely two days of gentle play, they are really enjoying the opportunity of meeting, greeting and playing with their friends in little groups.
We have had lots of chat at circle time and everybody had something to say about what they have been doing in the holidays. The seaside featured a lot in these conversations as well as icecream! Also a very long conversation about new shoes!
Yesterday making sandcastles in the sandpit was a favourite; we have some nice new sand and spades, BIG ones, which makes all the difference!
Some children were also building a house out of the ‘real’ bricks, though one mentioned it was a bit of a wobbly house!
It is lovely to be back and getting into the swing of things again. We look forward to meeting some new little friends next week when our new starters join us.
