The cooking club children had so enjoyed weighing and measuring ingredients, that we wanted to extend the experience into the rest of preschool.
This past week we have measured all manner of things, stand still long enough and a tape measure or scales loomed large!
We have measured our heights and weights, we have compared weights of various toys and, even the odd iced gem. On Thursday some of the children helped make delicious chocolate chip cookies, weighing and measuring out the ingredients.
All the children have had the opportunity to use various scales: balance, kitchen and bathroom; as well as rulers and tape measures. Next week we are looking at Shapes and Chinese New Year.
