The teddy bears got a lift in Sally’s car but we all had to walk to the cricket pavilion at Ascott today to enjoy our Teddy bears picnic. It was a lovely, sunny walk and we had lots of time to look at interesting things along the way including slugs and snails on the pavement as well as some huge red poppies – we had to watch out for the stinging nettles in Heritage Lane and the poor man who was doing some carpentry work outside the Village Shop had eleven children watching his every move! We watched the man driving the tractor and mowing the grass and ate lunch in the shade of the trees by the pavilion, after lunch we enjoyed the teddy bear biscuits that each child had made before rushing down to the swings and slides for some fun before going home.
