We have had a very good start to Term 1 with 10 new children all settling in very well and learning the routines. The weather has been kind so we have been able to have plenty of outdoor play and in fact some children have hardly been inside all week. They have enjoyed using the new equipment bought with money raised at Sports Day, in particular the new role play area which is bigger and allows room for more children to play together. The extra 15 minutes in the mornings has given more time after snacks for extra outdoor play and stories in smaller groups which has been beneficial for listening skills. Last term we couldn’t use the car park much with all the building work going on but it has been completed now, the car park has been tidied up with new gravel and the children have had fun exploring, climbing the tree, playing hide and seek, ball games and various role play games that they have made up themselves.
