We started off the week with splatter painting outside-lots of chat, giggling and laughter during this activity! Plus inside the children used different parts of their hand to make pictures, some children loved this-others said they preferred to use a brush. The tuff spot had earth, pots and water with small containers, with chopsticks to mix with-this was followed the next day by adding flowers/herbs/leaves to the earth-making nice smelly mud-pies. The older children were encouraged to mark-make-hold a pencil, tracing the pointed line on the hedgehog. Mid-week we experienced ‘red jelly ’ raspberry and strawberry flavour-we had teaspoons to fill the small containers, however, the jelly obviously looked so good, quite a few of the children tucked in! So 4 senses were used that day!!! At the end of the week the children shared ‘toast’ together for snack-time, as well as celebrating a birthday with yummy cakes made by Anna – big thanks for her help on Friday- lending a hand really helps and the children love having their grown-up join us – especially as they show off their ‘I was the Table Helper today’ sticker.
