Although it was different to our usual Concert day, those children who could attend, arrived eager and excited to start with their party. The older children helped the younger with their singing around the Christmas tree, songs they have been learning over the past few weeks, beautiful voices and well remembered words! Then we were on to the older children performing the traditional Nativity tale of the first Christmas this was accompanied by enthusiastic renditions of several delightful songs – written by the Pre-school teachers – and old favourites ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’. The above was all recorded and parents/carers are able to view it on our online journal, Tapestry.
Sally Elderfield kindly came to do some party games, with fantastic singing and dancing. Thank you Sally!
We then discovered that Father Christmas had visited and left presents for every child around the fireplace and chimney at Tiddy Hall! We opened them in front of each other and were all incredibly excited to receive our gifts.
We thank Caroline and Tamsyn who put a lot of time and effort into arranging a raffle and sold tickets outside on the Concert day. Thanks too to everyone who contributed items and all of you who purchased tickets. We made an amazing £407 for Pre-school funds.
The children did fantastically well and made all of the staff very proud. We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!
