January

The staff and older children have helped to settle the new starters in and everyone is doing really well, a lovely start to term. As always, things are very lively and we have enjoyed child led play both inside and out. The children’s staying power for being outside is amazing so please do remember to send in warm clothing, hats, gloves and coats! We are lucky to have so many children with us who have a real love of books and we have been enjoying linking some of their experiences in life with the books we read – chicken pox has been a big topic of conversation with the children, sharing their stories and comparing spots and how they felt – we have some factual books on this topic and another story book called ‘Boris Gets Spots’ which they have loved. We have also been reading lots of ‘Under the Sea’ books and making fish and jellyfish for a display board which we will continue with next week. There has been mention of snow in the weather forecast for next week, if the Pre-School is closed we will send an email and also post on this website, so please do remember to check before setting out.
