This week we celebrated harvest time with a sharing breakfast – we learnt a new harvest song and acted out a special story about a scarecrow who needed help from his animal friends. We also read the very funny book, ‘Vegetable Glue’ which caused much hilarity as well as ‘the Little Red Hen’. The children enjoyed vegetable and fruit printing, many thanks to all the children who brought things in from their gardens and allotments. We have had a very busy week as we also made vegetable soup and bread rolls. Some of the children made collage sunflowers, corn on the cob and a scarecrow craft. A really lovely week with lots of sunshine too! Hope you all enjoy the weekend. [see photo gallery for more pictures].
