We’ve had a Garden Centre and Cafe in the back garden all week – lots of lovely sunshine, the children have chosen to mostly play outside with breaks inside to get some extra shade. Lots of digging in soil and potting up of plants as well as measuring straight lines with string, sticking up signs for the garden centre and sweeping up the mess afterwards! The children have also enjoyed smelling lots of different plants and herbs and using them to make little salt dough necklaces, chopping up greenery using scissors, mixing potions and teas and generally enjoying the great outdoors! The children also chose flowers and grasses that staff had collected to make into a beautiful posy to take home. Thursday was train trip day and we all set off from Charlbury to Moreton-in-Marsh for a visit to their playground where we played, had a picnic and icecream and set off for the journey home. A short, sweet and sunny trip!
