Hello Oak group,
Today was our first Forest School session. We walked down the Lane over the road from the Hall-there was lots to see-the leaves on the trees were green and brown on the ground! We talked about keeping safe by the road and what is ok to pick i.e. black blackberries and NOT other berries which are for birds/animals, as well as fungi nor mushrooms. Looking along the lane we saw a few black blackberries which we all helped to pick and in a few weeks we hope to be cooking with them! But left the red and green ones….can your child tell you why?
Several trains passed by as we walked along the Lane, do ask your child if they were slow or fast?
We saw the big black hole!!! and then walked into it……..over the magical bridge, played hide and seek, then it was time to go back- a good beginning to Forest School.
