We hope you all enjoyed fireworks at the weekend. On the run up to fireworks night we made rockets and fireworks pictures using brightly coloured paints. We also made lovely bonfire pictures – the children could practise ‘writing’ by joining up the dots and making a bonfire using leaves and red, orange and yellow handprints for the flames. On the health and safety front we learned a rhyme about matches and the importance of children not touching them – some children were able to offer very good suggestions as to what we do use matches for. We also learned about colour mixing using salt and food colouring. Next week we start practising for the Christmas concert!
