Every week we have been asking each group of children what they would like to play with and supplying it for them as requested. They love that we write it down on a special list. This week there were lots of different requests, we started off with making bunting on string made out of paper and fabric, some was hung in the tree outside and the other set was used to decorate the shop, we also made icecreams and displayed them for sale with handwritten signs by some of the children. We created patterns using the threading boards and wool, also using wool to wrap cardboard worms, as well as colouring in and sewing star shapes to hang up at home. Magnet blocks were popular and the children made wonderful creations including Thunderbird vehicles, roads, cars and towers. Board games and matching number and object puzzles continue to be a popular choice with the children and they are getting very good at taking turns. Last but not least a plain cardboard box (the best of all toys!) was glued, stuck and painted with what turned out to be a very good camouflage colour! Looking forward to next week!
