The craft afternoon was held on November 5th and lots of children headed out to watch fireworks later on in the evening. The preschool staff had prepared crafts activities all to do with fireworks, rockets and autumnal things to get everyone in the mood for Bonfire Night celebrations. There were dazzling crowns, sparkly wands, see through window decorations and prickly hedgehogs to make. And of course delicious rocket cookies to decorate! Children enjoyed going from table to table doing the various crafts and had a great time playing together. It must have been quite nice for them to see Tiddy Hall set up differently.
There were lots of delicious cakes and cookies brought in by parents and staff, if only there was enough room to try a bit of each! The grown-ups were able to sit down and have a piece of cake and a chat while children were busy enjoying themselves. It was lovely to see some of the children who have now moved on to big school, they had all grown so much!
The shop was a great success too. It was full of jewellery and accessories kindly donated by Tracy Hey. The children loved having a look at all the different things on offer and choosing their own purchases. We had many repeat customers and the pot of pennies filled up nicely.
Thank you to everyone who came and supported what turned out to be a very busy craft afternoon! And thank you to the bakers and makers, and preschool staff for organizing this event.
