Some of the books that we have been focusing on this week have been about a character called ‘Supertato’ whose arch enemy is ‘Evil Pea’, he escapes from the freezer to wreak havoc around the Supermarket until Supertato and his veggie friends come to the rescue. The children have absolutely loved these story books, sometimes holding real frozen peas whilst the story is being read! All interested in how the peas melt as they warm up. We are building on this ‘Supertato’ interest by creating an art display board in the hall. Next week those children who choose to will make their own pea badge to wear home as well as larger items for the board. This week some children have been stamping out and cooking gingerbread people. Thanks to Sam for making the dough. Next week other children will get an opportunity to do this if they wish. We have been out and about in the village again, this time a shorter walk which didn’t involve visiting the Ascott Village Shop to buy biscuits as a treat on the way home. One child asked if we were going to the ‘Biscuit House’ even though we have only done this a couple of times.. honest! Enjoy the weekend everyone! X
