At Ascott Pre-school we make every effort to see that each child:
- enjoys a safe, stimulating and healthy environment
- receives love, care and individual attention
- joins with other children and adults – playing and learning together
- learns new facts, ideas and skills – building on what she or he alreadyknows and can do
- has a key person they can trust, who makes sure they learn, develop andachieve their potential
- sees their parents as partners in the school, working with staff to helpthem develop as happy, independent and confident young people
A recent parental survey showed 100% satisfaction with the Pre-school. Below are some of the additional comments we received:
‘…a positive and happy environment in which [children] can develop and flourish’
‘…friendly, nurturing and secure…’
‘…caring and pro-active attitude of staff’
‘…family atmosphere…children are encouraged to be considerate of each other’s needs’
‘I feel privileged to have my child at Ascott Pre-school’
Special Needs
At Ascott Pre-school we believe in working alongside parents and any appropriate external agencies to ensure we take account of and meet the needs of each individual child. It is our policy to work to the requirements of the 1993 Education Act and the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice (2001). Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator is Pauline Plant. Please feel free to discuss in confidence any needs your child may have.
