Another exciting adventure for the children this week. We arranged to meet at Tall Trees in Shipton and with an abundance of helpers set off across the fields to Monty’s house in Milton. The children were all very excited and found interesting things to examine on the way – cow parsley umbrellas, grasses for tickling with, slugs, mole hills and holes in the ground of varying sizes. We reached Monty’s house and had great fun playing in his beautiful garden – the tree house was very popular. Caroline kindly provided welcome snacks for all the children and helpers. Time for more play and then we set off back over the fields through the long grass. The grass was very tickly on bare arms so some had their hands high in the air while wading ‘swishy swashy ‘ through the very long grass. We all arrived back at Shipton tired and hungry for lunch.
A big thank you to Monty and Caroline for hosting the morning.
