This week we enjoyed the Aliens in Underpants Book, as well as Dinosaurs Love Underpants, the Queen’s Knickers and The Royal Nappy. As usual there was messy play with children and staff getting stuck in to cover balloons with paper mache, resulting in some fantastic alien masks, they had fun painting & decorating them the next day – though staff were messier than children – glitter is not just for Christmas! Take a look up by the clock at Tiddy Hall to see the pants number line and alien masks display. We made some fab pirate pants eye patches and more decorated pants biscuits to take home. Please do have a look at the new display screen which the children covered in glue and glitter and then made alien spaceships and flying saucers out of paper bowls stuck together – they also enjoyed sticking a huge amount of space stickers all over the display which really makes it! As a group we have been talking about sounds and rhyming words as well as listening to and joining in the actions to the Jolly Phonics CD. We have also started practising our songs, along with actions, for the Christmas Play.
