Harvest

Such a busy week this week. We have enjoyed the story of the Little Red Hen who eventually got her friends to help her sow, look after and harvest grain before making bread to enjoy together. We made our very own bread rolls to take home and also apple crumble too. The children have played with small world toys with lots of farm machinery and porridge oats in the tuff spot. A big thank you to Samuel’s daddy for driving one of his tractors to Tiddy Hall on Thursday, the children were really excited when they saw it arrive in the car park and most of them got up in the cab to have a look! On the art and crafts front we made pumpkins using red lentils and a lovely little ‘pop-up’ mouse to take home. Take a look at the Harvest board on display at Tiddy Hall which shows the children’s hard work. Next week’s topic is the Magic Porridge Pot.
