This week we have been learning all about celebrations; the children cut out cake using number cutters and decorated with icing and chocolate numbers as well as tiny marshmallows, they took their individual cakes home. On Wednesday the children at Tiddy Hall made their own sandwiches, we used lots of butter, marmite, jam and cream cheese. We talked about safe cutting of the sandwiches and they all cut them up by themselves – hopefully some made it home! We have been using wrapping paper to wrap boxes – this resulted in some amazing wrapping, very neat and tidy! We also made a very bright cake out of boxes and tissue paper with lots of decoration on top. We have enjoyed some nice Autumn sunshine in the back garden this week as well as windy weather on Friday – the children swept up wheelbarrows full of leaves. As usual lots of fun with songs, thanks to John for suggesting Queen’s, ‘We Will Rock You,’ this resulted in the CD being brought in and some super dancing as well as musical bumps from the children, staff and a special mention for Chris T who seemed to love this activity too!
